Overview
Who We Are
- CCGG is the only statewide association that links academic institutions, including faculty, administrators, and students to legislators, service providers, and older adults and their families.
- Our membership is representative of California’s cross-educational systems: Two- and four-year academic institutions with academic affiliations among the California State University and University of California systems, private institutions, and community colleges.
- Disciplines represented by our members include gerontology and the health professions, social work, human development, business, public policy, and many others.
Our Goals
- Serve as the statewide expert voice in gerontology and geriatrics education, workforce development and policy
- Strengthen and improve the quality of gerontology and geriatrics education in California
- Increase access to gerontology and geriatrics education programs in the state of California
- Promote opportunities for networking and collaboration among students, faculty, and aging and non-aging service providers, businesses, and legislators
- Provide a forum for faculty development
